This Master of Science in Coaching Psychology will provide you with a solid grounding on coaching psychology theory and practice from a broad variety of psychology perspectives, helping you to use a research and practice-informed approach to promote change for individuals, organisations and their communities that is sustainable – attainable, lasting, and respectful of the wider social and environmental context.
Additionally, the MSc Coaching Psychology programme covers a wide range of transferrable skills with real-world value, with an emphasis on personal development, professionalism and employability.
You will be expected to work towards a minimum of 80 hours of coaching supervised practice, building on taught coaching psychology skills and practice during sessions Research modules will introduce you to advanced research methods, which you will apply to your very own research-based coaching psychology project. You will be assessed through observed skills practice, written assignments, supervisor’s reports and the completion of coaching hours. This course has no examinations.

Accreditation and Professional Membership
The Master of Coaching Psychology programme, delivered on-campus in the UK, is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). For the programme offered in Singapore, it aligns with professional coaching standards set by globally recognized bodies. Graduates will have pathways to pursue professional membership and accreditation with:
- International Coaching Federation (ICF) (USA)
- Association for Coaching (AC) (UK)
- European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) (EU)
It is important to note that these accreditations require students to submit a portfolio application, as they are not automatically awarded upon course completion.
International Coaching Federation (ICF)

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the world’s largest and most recognized organization for professional coaching, headquartered in USA. ICF sets the gold standard for coaching through globally recognized certification, accreditation, and ethical guidelines.
Portfolio Route for Accreditation:
To achieve ICF accreditation, students must meet the following requirements:
- 60+ hours of coach-specific education (including CCE programs or non-ICF accredited programs).
- 100+ coaching hours with a minimum of 8 clients, where 75 hours are paid. At least 25 hours (paid or unpaid) must occur within 18 months prior to the credential application.
- 10 hours of mentor coaching with a PCC, MCC, or renewed ACC credentialed coach, including 3 hours of one-on-one mentoring, spread over at least 3 months.
- Submission of 1 recorded coaching session with a transcript.
The Master’s programme fulfills the 60+ hours of education and provides 25 hours of unpaid coaching practice. Two modules within the MSc require recorded coaching sessions, which can be submitted as part of the ICF application. Students will need to gain additional paid coaching clients to meet the full practice hours requirement.
Association for Coaching (AC)

The Association for Coaching (AC), headquartered in the United Kingdom, is a leading global body committed to advancing coaching excellence and professional development.
Accreditation Pathway:
- Graduates of the MSc programme are eligible to apply for Foundation Coach Membership.
- With an additional 20 hours of coaching practice, they will qualify for Coach Membership, enhancing their professional standing in the global coaching community.

European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC)

The European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) is a globally recognized professional body that promotes best practices in mentoring, coaching, and supervision while upholding high standards of ethics and professional competence.
Accreditation Pathway:
- EMCC accreditation requires coachee feedback to demonstrate coaching impact, a requirement that will be fulfilled as part of the Health and Wellbeing module within the MSc programme.

The MSc programme comprises two distinct parts (6 coursework modules and 1 Independent Research Project), each offering a unique perspective that acknowledges the interconnected nature of the subject disciplines.
Programme Structure
The Master of Science in Coaching Psychology comprises of 6 modules on top of an independent research project, structured to accommodate working professionals’ work priorities and commitments.

Admission Criteria
Students will be encouraged and are expected to contribute to the class learning experience in a peer and cohort learning environment. As a student at Aventis, you will be assessed based on your aptitude, potential, experience, and managerial skills.

Language Proficiency
GCE O Level English C6 and above / Minimum IELTS 6.0 / For mature students, the language proficiency will be assessed by the school on a case-by-case basis.
Programme Delivery
Each module spans over 2 consecutive weekends per month (Saturdays & Sundays; 9am to 5pm) and includes a comprehensive coverage of 32 hours of Zoom lectures that is complemented with online course support, additional readings and resource materials.

Degree Awarded
You will be awarded a Master of Science in Coaching Psychology degree by the University of Chichester, the same as that awarded on-campus. You will have a chance to graduate in Singapore or UK.
